Honor 9X/9X Pro launched in China

Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro are now official in China. The two new mid-range smartphones are notably the first from Honor to sport a pop-up selfie camera. This also allows both the devices to offer notch-less displays. Another highlight of the Honor 9X and 9X Pro is that they are both powered by a Kirin 810 chipset, which is the company's second 7nm-based processor after the flagship Kirin 980.
The Honor 9X is the more affordable of the two with a starting price of CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 14,000) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants are priced at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,000) and CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 19,000), respectively.
The Honor 9X Pro, on the other hand, starts at CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,000) for the 8GB + 128GB base model and goes up to CNY 2,399 (approx Rs 24,000) for the 8GB + 256GB storage variant. The regular Honor 9X will go on sale from July 30 in China with pre-orders now open, while the Honor 9X Pro will go on sale starting August 9 with pre-orders beginning on July 30.
